The Gathering
Our Ministry with Young Adults
McDonough First United Methodist Church is growing a new young adult ministry geared toward those aged 18 - 40, including high school graduates, college students and young professionals, single, married and young families. This ministry includes fellowship, service, Bible study/devotions and worship, seeking to grow in our relationship with God and with one another.
Fellowship
Join us in "The Gathering Place" each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. "The Gathering Place" is located in the lounge on the ground floor below the music suite. We will have refreshments and lively Bible study and devotions.
Worship
Join us in worship every Sunday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We are planning to include worship and praise music during our Sunday morning gathering time.
Upcoming Programs
We are working on plans for exciting ministry that will include mission projects and fellowship. We hope to have an updated "Gathering" Events Calendar posted and kept up to date on this web site soon.
The Gathering is lead by Robin McLauchlin, Young Adults Coordinator, and supported by Rev. Mike Broome, Associate Pastor to Youth, Young Adults and Missions. Should you wish to contact Robin, please email her at robin@mcdonoughumc.org, or Pastor Mike at mike@mcdonoughumc.org.
We are also in the process of collecting contact information for all of our young adults including those who are away at school. Please contact the church office to provide your email address, including school email addresses and mailing addresses, so that we may contact you with upcoming information and programs.
