UMM Valentine Dinner 2004
This was the best Valentine Dinner ever. We were in the new fellowship hall, we had the United Methodist Youth serving and cleaning up for us, and we had super entertainment from the Honey Creek Boys (Bluegrass). This was the first real test of the sound system in the fellowship hall, and it was a truly successful test. The sound was marvelous.
Each year for Valentine the UMM invite their wives, and extend an invitation to all of the single ladies of the church to come out and have a dinner on us. We include the widows, divorcées, and ladies single by choice. We even pick up the ladies that may feel uncomfortable driving themselves at night, and give them a ride to and from.
We had appetizers, salad, steak dinner, and desert. And, we had a wonderful crowd.
After dinner, Bob Shurbutt, our UMM President introduced our entertainment. And, the crowd was wowed by the bluegrass sounds of the Honey Creek Boys.
Our thanks to the Honey Creek Boys, our youth group, our cooks, and our ladies in the church.
