Chancel Choir Concert

For the Veterans Administration Nursing Home

Our Chancel Choir went on tour and presented a concert of Traditional American Spirituals for the residents of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Decatur, Georgia.   Under the direction of Scott Keesey, the choir presented its concert in a beautiful breezeway setting, on an absolutely perfect Sunday afternoon. 

Many residents, and some family members and nursing home staff, joined the choir on the breezeway for the music.  The choir did a fantastic job of singing.

In honor of the veterans, each choir member wore an American flag lapel pin.  After the concert, the veterans were further honored by having a choir member pin the flag on them as they were thanked for their service to our nation.  Many were moved by this gesture of thanks and friendship.

Our Chancel Choir made many new friends and shared the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
