A Busy Weekend for the Upper Room Class
Because of scheduling conflicts, our Upper Room Class (Adult Sunday School Class) ended up having two major events on the same weekend. The class had a covered dish supper on Saturday. This was a time of food and fellowship. Everyone was surprised that the entertainment of the night was a karaoke machine. A super time was had by all, and everyone took part in the singing.
The second event for the class was to sponsor a fund raising dinner. The class prepared spaghetti and all of the fixins, and invited everyone at the 11:00 service to stay for lunch. The class asked for donations to go the the Conference special offering for the homeless, and for our own homeless ministry. This was a very successful project for the Upper Room Class, and a very fun weekend.
