McDonough First United Methodist Church
The
United Methodist Women have a long history of responding to God's Grace by
reaching out to persons in need, sharing our time, money, talents, and material
resources. This church membership of 123 UMW members contributes
financially and physically to the 14 areas of missions supported by the unit.
Each year the UMW sponsor a bake Sale at the Geranium Festival in McDonough. The proceeds from the bake sale sponsors scholarships to Camp Glisson for our youth. In 2001 we were able to sponsor 16 youths to experience time at Camp Glisson.
Once again we have the pleasure of being recognized with Five Star Plus Unit, and Mission Today Unit status.
