United Methodist Men

McDonough First United Methodist Church

Our United Methodist Men meet on each first Sunday of the month for a fellowship breakfast in the Coan Fellowship Hall.  Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. and each month we have a guest speaker.  The fellowship time is finished in time for the men to go to the 8:30 a.m. service, or to go pick up family members in time for Sunday School.  This is a great time of food, fellowship, sharing and devotion.  All men of the church are invited, and urged to join in our fellowship.

The United Methodist Men is under the General Commission on United Methodist Men.  We are a group of men who come together to witness and to worship God each from our own place in our Christian walk.  We are not a certain age or race, rather; we are young and older coming together for the glory of God.  We join together in service projects, we sponsor mission events, we attend retreats and Bible studies, and we even raise money at our annual Bar-B-Que and the McDonough Geranium Festival.  We invite you to be a part of our dynamic, spirit-filled group.

Valentine Dinner

Each year we invite the ladies of the church to dinner.  The men bring their wives, but all of the ladies of the church are treated to a Steak and the Trimmings dinner and an evening of entertainment.  This is a special way that we remember the ladies of our church, our wives, the widows, singles and divorced.
